John Murry is a poet with a cathartic, melancholic...but beautiful, line in Americana; as he said in a recent interview for No Depression
"It's like soul music for the suicidal; nothing blue eyed about it".
His album 'The Graceless Age' won rave reviews from all sorts of places: American Songwriter, the Guardian, Independent; and was recently included in Uncut's list of the 50 greatest singer-songwriter albums.
He now find himself residing in Ireland and travailing with the multi-talented axe man for Irish band Duende Dogs Grum Gallagher from Kilkenny who hot press recently described as "Jesus Lizard-indebted rock" (WTF).
I find out a bit more and record some of the show for you.
