The album was recorded live in the studio in front of a small audience in Woodstock with backing from his old band The Felice Brothers. It will include songs from all phases of Simone’s recording career, including Felice Brothers’ favourites like “Radio Song”, “My Belly In Your Arms” and “Don’t Wake The Scarecrow”, Duke & The King songs like “The Morning I Get to Hell” and “Union Street”, and solo highlights like “You and I Belong” and “If You Go to LA”. It also includes some previously unreleased material, a version of Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here” and a recitation of the original poem “Country of Echoes”.
