Exclusive Stream for The Keeping from JACK TULLY
Album Out July 10 2015
Jack Tully’s The Keeping is a slow burning and moody collection. It’s alt-country and groove rock. If you like slow, profound guitar solos and songs with an intense vibe, chances are you’ll be impressed by this new release. It reminds me of that Neil Young vibe in his classic On The Beach – a simmering, barely under-the-surface potency.
The Keeping was recorded with Paul Pilsneniks at The Music Farm in Coorabell New South Wales*, just up the road from Jack Tully’s home in the hills. With friends Nick McCann (bass) and Jonny Link (drums) to lend a hand, Tully created a relaxed recording environment to produce an album that’s raw and honest, with imperfections only adding to the overall charm.
“You can hear our cat in one of the tracks, but that doesn’t matter, it’s the feeling of the songs that’s important” explains Tully.
